TapOff runs entirely on your device. We do not sell, share, or send any personal data from your phone to any server.

Data We Store

All the following data is stored only on your device's local storage, never sent to our servers:

• List of apps you monitor (package name, block/mute status)
• Automatic schedule rules (day, time, action)
• Usage statistics summary (block duration, number of notifications muted)

If you uninstall TapOff, all this data will be deleted from your device.

Permissions We Use

TapOff requests several system permissions, each with one specific purpose:

• Local VPN — blocks network connections per app. TapOff does not create a VPN connection to external servers; all traffic stays on your device (local loopback).
• Notification Access — reads incoming notifications so they can be muted according to your rules. We do not read/store notification content.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — ensures ON/OFF schedules run on time.
• Battery optimization exemption (optional) — keeps blocking active when the screen is off.

These permissions are only used for the purposes stated above, for no other purpose.

Advertising

TapOff displays ads via Google AdMob for Free users, with GDPR/UMP (Google User Messaging Platform) consent prompt appearing on first app launch in regions that require it. You can change your consent preferences anytime through Settings.

TapOff Pro users see no ads at all.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Purchase data (Pro status, subscription date) is managed entirely by Google Play Billing — TapOff does not store any card or payment information.

Policy Changes

If there are significant changes to this policy, we will notify you through an app update or in-app notification.
